Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President and 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to deliver Adamawa State to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Abba made the declaration on Friday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja during a media conference organised to unveil the vision of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation (HBTO) and launch its subsidised transportation scheme in the Federal Capital Territory.

The HBTO founder and chairman said his decision to support Tinubu, despite his father’s presidential ambition, was based on personal conviction and independent political judgment.

He maintained that political choices should not be determined by family relationships, adding that every individual has the right to support a candidate or political platform they believe represents their aspirations.

Abba also expressed support for Tinubu’s economic and social reforms, citing initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), infrastructure development, increased allocations to state governments and transportation interventions.

As part of the organisation’s activities, he announced the deployment of an initial fleet of 10 luxury buses to provide subsidised transportation services, beginning in the FCT.

He said the initiative would be expanded to other parts of the country, with plans to provide five or six buses in each state to reduce transportation costs and ease the burden on commuters.

Abba explained that the intervention was designed to demonstrate that political support should go beyond public declarations to include practical contributions to the welfare of Nigerians.

He also disclosed plans to organise a nationwide two-million-man march across the country’s six geopolitical zones, beginning in Abuja.

The HBTO chairman further confirmed the organisation’s alignment with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to mobilise support for the APC in the FCT and Rivers State.

He said the organisation was already establishing structures in Rivers State ahead of a planned mobilisation exercise.

When asked whether the organisation had the political capacity to secure Adamawa State for the APC in the 2027 elections, Abba responded confidently, saying, “Yes, yes, yes. We are going to deliver Adamawa State.”

His declaration comes as political parties and support groups intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with his father, Atiku Abubakar, also seeking the presidency under the ADC.
