Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has said he will not use the media to advise President Bola Tinubu, insisting that he has direct access to the president whenever the need arises.
Speaking during an appearance on TVC’s Beyond the Headlines, Fashola explained that private communication is a more appropriate channel for offering counsel to the president than making public remarks on television.
According to the former minister, he has, on several occasions, shared his views with Tinubu privately and intends to keep that line of communication open.
“I don’t speak to President Tinubu from the television. I have his ears, and when I need to see him, I have advised him on a few things, and I think we must keep that channel open,” Fashola said.
He added: “It’s not my intention to advise him on television. You can’t be shouting at somebody whose ears you have.”
