
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi A. Sule, has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies for rescuing a kidnap victim and arresting three suspects allegedly linked to the crime in Lafia.
The operation, which followed coordinated security efforts, led to the arrest of one suspect at a criminal hideout in Atabula, Duduguru, while two others were apprehended in Lafia.
Security operatives also dismantled the suspected criminal camp and recovered cash and five mobile phones during the operation.
Governor Sule described the development as a significant security breakthrough, saying the successful operation demonstrated the commitment of security agencies to disrupting criminal networks and protecting residents across the state.
He urged security personnel to sustain the momentum and intensify efforts to identify and apprehend individuals and networks involved in kidnapping and other criminal activities.
The governor also assured security agencies of his administration’s continued cooperation and support, while urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly provide credible information that could help prevent and respond to security threats.
Sule stressed that sustained collaboration among security agencies, government authorities and citizens remains essential to maintaining peace and protecting lives and property across Nasarawa State.
