Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on residents to put the recently concluded election behind them, heal from divisions and unite in the interest of the state.
Adeleke made the call in a message shared on his official page following his re-election, expressing gratitude to the people of Osun for entrusting him with another mandate.
The governor described the victory as a collective achievement, saying he accepted the renewed mandate with humility and a strong sense of responsibility.
“This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” Adeleke said.
He also remembered victims of electoral violence recorded ahead of the election, extending his condolences to their families and loved ones.
“As we celebrate, we also remember the victims of electoral violence before the election. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and loved ones,” he said.
Adeleke thanked traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youths, women, artisans, traders, farmers and other residents for their support throughout his administration and during the election.
He urged residents to set aside political differences and focus on the task of building a more prosperous and united Osun State.
“Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” the governor added.
