Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, in Abuja as he continued consultations with key political figures following his re-election.
Adeleke, who secured a second term in office in the August 15 governorship election, was pictured with Wike during the visit, with both men holding his Certificate of Return.
The meeting was disclosed in a post on X by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, who wrote: “Governor Ademola Adeleke visits the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.”
The visit came shortly after Adeleke met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he presented his Certificate of Return to the President.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the election after he polled 511,067 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.
Adeleke won in 19 of the 30 local government areas in the state, securing another four-year mandate as governor of Osun State.
His latest engagements in Abuja come amid efforts to strengthen political relationships ahead of his second term in office.
