Ogogo’s Daughters Beg Nigerians for Help as Actor Battles Stage-Four Cancer

The daughters of veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have appealed to Nigerians and medical professionals to help save their father, who is battling stage-four cancer.

The actor’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, made separate emotional appeals on Instagram on Monday, seeking assistance from individuals with access to cancer treatment and medical expertise.

In a video shared on Instagram, Lima said her father’s condition had deteriorated significantly and that some hospitals had declined to continue treating him.

“Hello everybody, good evening. I’m here to ask for help for my daddy. He has cancer and it’s really, really bad. And the hospitals are refusing to treat him. At least, please, give this man a chance,” she said while struggling to hold back tears.

Lima revealed that the family only became aware of the seriousness of her father’s condition about three weeks ago, saying his appearance had not initially suggested that he was seriously ill.

She clarified that the family was not seeking financial donations but medical assistance from anyone who could help secure treatment for the actor.

“We’re not here to ask for money. If you know somebody that knows somebody that will be willing to treat him, anything, we’re willing to try anything,” she said.

She also expressed appreciation to their uncle, Senator Yayi, for the support he had provided to the family, particularly in helping with medical expenses.

In a separate video, Kira disclosed that Ogogo’s cancer had reached stage four and claimed that doctors had informed the family that chemotherapy was no longer an option.

She appealed to anyone with access to cancer treatment to come forward, saying the family was willing to explore available options.

“If you can treat my daddy, if you can start chemo for him, whether it’s medical or herbs, please, I’m begging you,” Kira said.

She also thanked Senator Yayi for reportedly helping the family with the actor’s medical bills.

Kira urged individuals with information about possible treatment options to contact her, her sister or Ogogo directly.

Visibly emotional, she described the distress of watching her father endure severe pain and pleaded for help to prevent his condition from worsening.

“I’ve never seen my daddy in that kind of pain before. He’s saying that he doesn’t want to die,” she said.

The family’s appeal has sparked concern among fans and well-wishers, with calls for medical professionals and relevant institutions to assist the veteran actor.
