Manchester United have entered the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Turkish champions Galatasaray.
The Premier League giants have reportedly made an inquiry about the availability and transfer requirements for the 27-year-old forward, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Osimhen remains one of the most prolific strikers in world football and has scored 61 goals in 75 appearances for Galatasaray.
Reports suggest the Nigerian international is open to a move, but his salary demands could prove a stumbling block for Manchester United. Galatasaray, meanwhile, are understood to have no intention of selling the striker.
Elsewhere, Manchester City midfielder Rodri is expected to arrive in Barcelona on Monday as he closes in on a major move to the Catalan club.
The Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly scheduled to undergo his medical examination on Tuesday before completing the transfer.
The 30-year-old Spain captain could cost Barcelona up to £65 million if all performance-related bonuses are triggered and is expected to sign a four-year contract with the La Liga champions.
