Four adults and a 15-year-old girl have been charged following the death of a newborn baby in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The baby girl was found at a house on Holywell Heights in the Wincobank area on Sunday morning after police were called to the property over concerns for her safety.
Two men, aged 19 and 38, and two women, aged 20 and 37, have been charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice.
Police allege the suspects took steps to conceal the circumstances surrounding the death of the infant.
The 15-year-old girl has separately been charged with perverting the course of justice. She cannot be named due to her age.
Those charged are Peter Horvath, 19, of Holywell Heights; Andrea Skopova, 20, formerly of Robey Street; Nina Horvathova, 37, of Holywell Heights; Peter Horvath, 38, of Holywell Heights; and the 15-year-old girl.
Police said all five suspects have been remanded in custody and are expected to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.
Detectives are continuing their investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the newborn’s death.
