Chelsea have confirmed the signing of highly rated defender Alfie Osborne from Scottish club Hearts.
The Premier League side announced the deal in a statement on Wednesday, with Osborne signing a contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2030.
The young defender previously captained Hearts’ Under-18 team to victory in the Scottish FA Youth Cup final.
He also made 28 appearances for Hearts B in the Lowland Football League, gaining valuable senior-level experience.
Osborne has represented Scotland at several youth levels and captained the national team during the qualifying round of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
Chelsea will hope the defender can continue his development within the club’s youth and development setup as he works towards establishing himself at senior level.
