President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting followed a separate session of the National Economic Council (NEC), chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Details of the discussions were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.
The meeting comes five days after the APC released the list of members of its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
Former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, was named Director-General of the campaign council.
The closed-door meeting is expected to focus on political coordination, mobilisation and other issues concerning the APC as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
