President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of his birthday and seventh anniversary in office, commending his administration for what he described as remarkable strides in governance and development.
In a personally signed tribute released on Thursday, the President lauded Governor Abiodun’s “people-centred approach” to leadership, noting that his achievements align closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
Tinubu highlighted the governor’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda, which focuses on infrastructure development, social welfare, education, youth empowerment and job creation, as well as agriculture.
According to the President, Ogun State has witnessed significant transformation under Abiodun’s leadership, particularly in infrastructure and economic development.
“From transforming the state’s infrastructure, including the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline, to adopting CNG and electric vehicles for transportation, expanding healthcare, improving access to education, and creating an enabling environment for investment, Prince Abiodun has significantly elevated the standard of governance in Ogun State,” Tinubu stated.
The President also acknowledged the governor’s efforts in promoting industrialisation and improving the ease of doing business in the state, describing the initiatives as being in line with his administration’s national development agenda.
Tinubu further prayed for good health and renewed strength for the Ogun governor as he continues to serve the people of the state and the country at large.
The congratulatory message comes as Governor Abiodun marks both his birthday and seven years in office as Ogun State’s chief executive.
