Colombia have become the latest nation to secure qualification for the Round of 32 at the ongoing FIFA World Cup following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over DR Congo on Wednesday.
A decisive second-half strike from Daniel Muñoz proved enough to seal all three points for the South Americans, who now sit atop Group K with six points from two matches.
With the win, Colombia join six other countries that have already booked their places in the knockout stage of the tournament. The qualified teams are Norway, France, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, the United States, and now Colombia.
The victory leaves Colombia ahead of Portugal, DR Congo, and Uzbekistan in the Group K standings as they prepare for their final group-stage fixture against Portugal this weekend.
The race for the remaining Round of 32 spots continues as teams battle for qualification in the closing stages of the group phase.
