Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has lavished praise on Arsenal, insisting that the North London club fully deserve their place in the UEFA Champions League final following an impressive campaign under manager Mikel Arteta.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated final, Dembélé highlighted Arsenal’s remarkable performances throughout the season, describing them as one of the most complete teams in Europe.
The French international pointed to Arsenal’s domestic dominance and their impressive displays in the Champions League as evidence of why they have earned the right to compete for European football’s biggest prize.
“Arsenal are an excellent team. We have seen them run away with the Premier League title, but also what they showed us in the league phase,” Dembélé said.
“Their journey has been great, they deserve to be in the final.
“They play great football and are great across the board. Set-pieces, everyone knows that. They have got an exceptional coach.”
Dembélé’s comments come as Arsenal continue their pursuit of a first Champions League crown, having secured their place in the final after overcoming Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.
With both sides preparing for the biggest match of the season, the PSG star’s remarks underline the growing respect Arsenal have earned across European football under Arteta’s leadership.
