Real Madrid and France superstar Kylian Mbappé has brushed aside the milestone of scoring 400 career goals, insisting his ambitions in football history go far beyond that achievement.
Speaking to Fabrizio Romano on Friday, the 26-year-old forward said, “400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more.”
Mbappé referenced football’s all-time greats who have surpassed 900 career goals, stressing that reaching 400 is not enough to remain in the elite circle of players who continue to astonish fans. “There is one with 950+ goals, and another with 900+. 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people,” he added.
The comments underline Mbappé’s relentless drive for greatness, as he continues to chase both individual records and team success, aiming to cement his place among the legends of the game.
The French forward showcased his scoring prowess once again, netting a brace as France demolished Ukraine 4-0 in Thursday’s World Cup qualifier.
