Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027 Inevitable – Osun APC Chieftain Babayemi

AYEDIRE, OSUN STATE – A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Dotun Babayemi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 is assured, dismissing any opposition alliances as inconsequential.

Babayemi, who is one of the APC aspirants for the forthcoming August 8 governorship election in Osun, made the remarks during a ward-to-ward consultation tour in Ayedire Local Government Area on Sunday.

He described Tinubu’s second term as a “done deal,” asserting that the president’s leadership over an uninterrupted eight-year period would be crucial to stabilising Nigeria’s economy and political landscape.

“The president is breaking new grounds with policies that are already yielding results. These gains will become more tangible during his second term,” Babayemi said.

He praised the ongoing implementation of reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying they are beginning to positively impact various sectors of the economy.

According to him, APC members in Osun are intensifying grassroots mobilisation efforts to ensure victory for the party in the 2026 state governorship election and to secure President Tinubu’s re-election the following year.

“Tinubu’s return in 2027 should be a top priority for Nigerians, particularly members of the APC. His leadership is laying a solid foundation for national progress,” he added.

Babayemi also used the opportunity to call on party faithful and supporters to prepare for the upcoming voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stressing the importance of massive voter mobilisation ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.v
