Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reacted to Marcus Rashford’s surprise move to Barcelona, expressing happiness for the England international while acknowledging the Red Devils are parting with a key talent.
Rashford’s loan switch to the La Liga champions has been finalized, with all paperwork completed between Manchester United and Barcelona. The 26-year-old forward has already arrived in Spain for his medical with the Catalan giants.
According to reports, Rashford agreed to a 15% pay cut, with Barcelona set to cover his €14 million gross annual salary (approximately €7 million net). The deal includes a €30 million buy option, which can be activated in June 2026.
Reacting to the transfer, Pogba said during a chat with American YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed, as quoted by The Touchline:
“That’s crazy. I’m happy for him. Manchester United is losing a great player! That’s great for Barcelona.”
