Nottingham Forest Women have completed the signing of Super Falcons forward Joy Omewa, DAILY POST reports.
The Nigerian striker joins the English club from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring, putting pen to paper on a deal that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Omewa enjoyed an impressive three-year spell with Fortuna Hjørring, where she scored 52 goals in 85 league appearances, establishing herself as one of the club’s most reliable attacking threats.
During her time in Denmark, the 23-year-old won the Danish Women’s Cup twice and played a key role in Fortuna Hjørring’s Kvindeligaen title triumph in the 2024/25 season.
At international level, Omewa has represented Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels, and has also made two appearances for the Super Falcons senior team.
Her move to Nottingham Forest marks a new chapter in her career as she looks to make an impact in English women’s football.
