According to the Appeal Court registrar, the tribunal would deliver judgment on the different petitions to bring the 2023 presidential election petitions to rest.

The tribunal will decide on the petition filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party vs. the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and three others. The tribunal will also decide the petition between the Allied Peoples Movement vs. the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and four others.

Also, the tribunal will decide on the petition between Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vs. the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and two others.

Justice Haruna Tsammani heads the tribunal sitting of the five-man panel of justices.

On the day of the final judgment, the five jurists will deliberate and possibly vote to take a final decision, in case there are disagreements on issues thrown up at trial.

The decision is, however, not final, as a displeased party can still appeal to the Supreme Court. The judges presiding over the tribunal are:

  1. Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani (Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal)
  2. Justice Stephen Adah (Court of Appeal, Asaba division)
  3. Justice Mistura Bolaji-Yusuf (Court of Appeal, Asaba Division)
  4. Justice Boloukuoromo Ugo (Court of Appeal, Kano Division)
  5. Justice Abba Mohammed (Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division)
