Concerns as the Presidential Election Tribunal prepares to rule on the petitions of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Peter Obi (LP). The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPT) has stated that it is prepared to rule on the petitions of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Peter Obi (LP) on Wednesday, September 6th.

The Court of Appeal Registrar, Umar Bangari, confirmed this on Monday, stating that the proceedings will be open to live broadcast by interested television stations.

Remember that the Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), as well as their presidential candidates, petitioned the tribunal to overturn the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Similarly, election tribunals in 25 states are set to rule on petitions for gubernatorial, National Assembly, and state assembly elections.

The results of the polls released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are being challenged in no less than 25 of the 28 states where elections were held.
