Fayemi recovers from COVID-19, tests negative

The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has now tested negative to the coronavirus after 11 days in isolation.

The governor confirmed and announced via his Twitter handle that his COVID-19 test result came back negative for the second time since he went into isolation.

“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team, and all well-wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic”, Fayemi tweeted.

Governor Fayemi is among a handful of Nigerian state governors to have tested positive for COVID-19.
