Pastor Bolaji John, a campus pastor at the Lekki branch of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has died.
Her death was confirmed through a memorial page created in her honour on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Details surrounding the circumstances of her death were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report. However, tributes have continued to pour in from church members, colleagues and people who knew her.
One of the church members, identified on X as @nanya_sapphire, shared an emotional account of Sunday’s service, recalling the appearance of the church’s Senior Pastor, Bolaji Idowu, while delivering his sermon.
According to her, Idowu appeared visibly distressed during the service, with a swollen face and red eyes, although she initially attributed his appearance to his regular periods of prayer and fasting.
She also observed that his message, which centred on prophecy and remaining faithful to God, carried a different emotional weight.
Reflecting on the news of Pastor John’s death, she described her as a pastor whose approach to explaining scriptures she particularly appreciated.
She wrote, “Now we know. She was my Pastor, I enjoyed her way of explaining scriptures. The memory of the righteous is blessed. Pastor Bolaji John.”
