President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 14, 2024. This announcement comes as the current Head of Service, Folasade Yemi-Esan, prepares to retire on August 13, 2024.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. Walson-Jack, who has been a Federal Permanent Secretary since 2017, brings extensive experience from her service across multiple ministries.
President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the outgoing Head of Service for her dedication and urged Walson-Jack to bring innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the regulations in her new role.
