Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee will face a plea hearing in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2027, with his trial set to begin a month later on March 8, according to updates shared by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby.
Kuti disclosed the new court dates after attending proceedings on Tuesday, revealing details of the case involving the entertainer, who remains on remand in a UK prison.
“I was in court today, as I mentioned in my last tweet, regarding the case involving one of our Nigerian brothers, Poco Lee,” Kuti said.
The update builds on an earlier report from August 24, in which Kuti confirmed that Poco Lee was being held on remand and was expected to appear in court in September for a plea hearing. That hearing has now been rescheduled, with the plea and trial dates formally fixed for early 2027.
Kuti called for calm and restraint from the public as the case proceeds, cautioning against speculation or judgment based on unverified claims circulating online.
“Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and that principle must be respected throughout the entire process,” he said.
