Prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East Senatorial District have declared unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, insisting that the district has no place in opposition politics.

The declaration was made under the auspices of the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF) at the end of a one-day strategic meeting aimed at strengthening the APC’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a communiqué signed by the forum’s State Coordinator, Hon. Philips Sani, and made available on Thursday, the stakeholders resolved to mobilize support for President Tinubu and all APC candidates across Kogi East.

According to Sani, the forum believes President Tinubu has demonstrated strong leadership despite inheriting significant economic and governance challenges upon assuming office in 2023.

He described the president as a reformer whose policies are laying the foundation for sustainable national development.

“Kogi East has no business being in the opposition, as the ruling party provides the opportunity for sustainable growth and development, not only for the zone but for the country at large,” Sani said.

The meeting attracted several key APC figures, including the forum’s Zonal Woman Leader, Mrs. Florence Achoba, and the Zonal Coordinator for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Egwudah, alongside other party stakeholders.

Speaking at the gathering, Egwudah appealed to President Tinubu to assent to the bill establishing the Federal Medical Centre in Ankpa, which is currently awaiting presidential approval.

He also urged the Federal Government to approve the construction of the Otuocha–Ibaji–Idah Road, describing the project as critical to improving connectivity and boosting economic activities in the area.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the APC’s presence in Kogi East, expressing confidence that continued support for the ruling party would accelerate development across the district and Nigeria as a whole.
