The Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has presented certificates of return to its candidates for the 2027 general elections, urging them to focus on issue-based campaigns and provide inclusive leadership.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Aliyu Halidu Mohammed, charged the candidates to uphold the core values of the PDP by working closely with party executives, stakeholders, supporters, and loyalists across the state.

Mohammed stressed that grassroots mobilisation would be crucial to the party’s success in the 2027 elections, urging the candidates to maintain strong collaboration with the party’s structure, particularly the 25 local government chairmen and ward chairmen.

According to him, effective coordination with party leaders at all levels would strengthen unity, boost mobilisation efforts, and improve the PDP’s chances of reclaiming power in Niger State.

“The enduring strength of the PDP lies in its unity, discipline, and unwavering dedication to providing purposeful leadership for the people of Niger State,” Mohammed said.

He also appealed to party members and stakeholders to remain united and committed to the collective goal of securing victory in the 2027 polls.

Also addressing the gathering, PDP stakeholder and former First Lady of Niger State, Senator Zainab Kure, congratulated the party’s flag bearers on their emergence and commended their loyalty and commitment.

She acknowledged the challenges of contesting against the ruling party from the opposition but encouraged the candidates to remain steadfast, determined, and prayerful as they prepare for the elections.

The PDP presented certificates of return to its three senatorial candidates, six House of Representatives candidates, and 24 State House of Assembly candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s primary elections across Niger State.
