
The All Progressives Congress in Ogun State has concluded its House of Representatives primary elections, producing candidates across the state’s federal constituencies ahead of the next general elections.
Chairman of the Ogun State APC National Assembly Primary Elections Committee, Philip Shaibu, announced the results on Saturday at the party secretariat in Abeokuta after receiving reports from collation officers across the constituencies.
Among the prominent winners, Olumide Osoba clinched the party’s ticket for Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency, while Gboyega Isiaka emerged victorious in Imeko Afon/Yewa North Federal Constituency.
For Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, Funmi Efuwape secured the APC ticket, while Moruf Afuape won the primary election for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
In Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Toyin Taiwo emerged winner, just as Olanrewaju Bashorun was declared winner of the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency primary.
The committee also announced Adijat Adeleye as the party’s candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
Elsewhere, Joseph Adegbesan secured victory in Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, while Razaq Dadah clinched the APC ticket for Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency.
The party stated that the outcomes reflected the successful conduct of the primaries across the affected federal constituencies in Ogun State.
