The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced a fresh reduction in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (diesel), days after implementing a series of price increases.
According to a new pricing template released by the refinery on March 10, 2026, the gantry price of petrol has been reduced by ₦100, falling from ₦1,175 to ₦1,075 per litre.
The refinery also disclosed that the price of PMS for coastal supply has been set at ₦1,050 per litre. The variation in pricing, it explained, reflects additional costs associated with maritime distribution.
In a similar adjustment, the price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) at the gantry has been cut by ₦190, dropping from ₦1,620 to ₦1,430 per litre.
The company noted that the listed gantry prices do not include regulatory charges imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
The latest reduction comes shortly after the refinery implemented multiple price increases. Earlier on Monday, the facility raised its gantry price for petrol to ₦1,175 per litre, marking the third upward adjustment within seven days.
The increase represented a jump of ₦180 from the ₦995 per litre announced the previous Friday — an 18.1 percent rise in just three days — according to the notice sent to marketers and depot operators.
The recent price cut is expected to influence pump prices across the country as marketers adjust their retail rates in response to the new ex-depot pricing.
