President Bola Tinubu has ordered an immediate and coordinated security operation to track down and arrest those responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji market in Niger State.

The directive, issued on Sunday, was conveyed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to DAILY POST, terrorists attacked a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area, killing nearly 40 people, while several others were abducted.

In response, President Tinubu directed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are swiftly brought to justice.

The President also ordered security agencies to urgently rescue all abducted victims.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people,” Tinubu said. “They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they will be hunted down. Those who aid, abet, or enable them in any form will also be caught and brought to justice.”

He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to restoring security and protecting lives and property across the country.
