The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been hit by a major setback following the sudden resignation of its Assistant National Publicity Secretary and North East Publicity Secretary, Umar Jada.
Jada, a close ally and kinsman of the party’s presumed presidential front runner, Atiku Abubakar, announced his resignation in a formal letter, saying the decision was driven by the need to refocus on other important commitments.
“I write to formally tender my resignation as the assistant national publicity secretary and zonal publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) effective immediately,” he stated.
Popularly known in Adamawa political circles as Calculate, Jada described his exit as a difficult but necessary step to attend to personal matters requiring his full attention. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the party’s growth and public visibility, adding that he would continue to hold the ADC leadership in high regard.
Jada has long been a major voice for Atiku and had played a prominent role in promoting the ADC’s image since the party began gaining traction as an emerging opposition force.
His unexpected departure has stirred fresh conversations within Adamawa State’s political landscape, with observers describing it as another dramatic twist in the party’s already turbulent chapter in recent months.
