Four Nigerians Secure Prestigious FIFA Committee Appointments

FIFA Postpones June World Cup Qualifiers In Africa

Four of Nigeria’s top football administrators have been appointed to key FIFA standing committees, marking another milestone for the nation in global football governance.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has joined the FIFA Men’s Club Competitions Committee — the body responsible for shaping the structure and governance of global club tournaments. Gusau succeeded Amaju Pinnick as NFF President in October 2022.

Also appointed are Aisha Falode, who earned a seat on the FIFA Media and Communications Committee, and Abdulhakeem Mustapha (SAN), who now serves on the Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Interestingly, former NFF President Amaju Pinnick has also been re-appointed as Deputy Chair of the FIFA Men’s National Teams Competitions Committee.

“I wholeheartedly congratulate President Gusau, Abdulhakeem Mustapha, SAN, and Aisha Falode on their well-deserved appointments,” Pinnick said.
