ACCRA, GHANA — Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was hosted on Wednesday in Accra by media mogul and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu.
Momodu, who shared the development via his official X handle, revealed that he welcomed the former Anambra State governor to the Ghanaian capital earlier in the morning before treating him to breakfast at his residence.
“Earlier this morning, I welcomed the former Labour Party Presidential candidate and former Anambra State Governor, His Excellency PETER OBI, to the beautiful city of Accra, Ghana, and we headed to my home for breakfast,” Momodu wrote.
While details of their discussions remain undisclosed as of press time, the meeting comes on the heels of Obi’s recent flurry of high-profile engagements.
On Sunday, Obi held a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, before separately visiting the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, in Oyo State’s capital.
Obi, who contested Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election on the Labour Party platform, has continued to maintain visibility in political and public discourse, frequently engaging with political leaders, business figures, and the Nigerian diaspora both at home and abroad.
