Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Ibrahim Chatta, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his son.
The heartbroken actor shared the tragic news on his Instagram page, posting a photo of the deceased alongside an emotional message.
“Inna Lillahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, you are the knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ,” Chatta wrote.
The announcement has sparked an outpouring of condolences from fans, colleagues, and industry figures, many of whom flooded his comment section with prayers and words of comfort.
This painful loss comes not long after Chatta revealed in a past interview that he once lost his first child because he could not afford hospital bills.
His tragedy adds to a string of recent heartbreaks in the Nollywood community. Veteran actress Peju Ogunmola and her husband, Omobolanle Sunday, recently lost their only child, Ayomikun, after a brief illness in Ibadan. Similarly, actor Francis Duru last year announced the passing of his son, Ifeanyi, describing him as a “lion” who fought fiercely for his life.
Chatta’s colleagues and fans continue to rally around him in support during this devastating time.
