KATSINA – Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, who represents Katsina Central Senatorial District, has firmly denied reports suggesting he is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement issued on Sunday night, the lawmaker described the rumours as baseless and a product of media mischief, stressing that he remains fully committed to the APC and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I wish to categorically reaffirm my unwavering commitment and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Senator Yar’adua stated.
He urged the public and the media to disregard what he called “speculative headlines” about his alleged defection, reiterating that he has no plans to abandon the ruling party.
The senator also addressed what he described as misleading associations tied to his surname.
“It’s essential to clarify that not all individuals sharing the Yar’adua surname imply a political association with me,” he added.
Senator Yar’adua’s statement comes amid growing political realignments and speculations about potential defections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
