2027: Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu of Possible Betrayal by Close Allies Before Election

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that some people within his political circle could betray him ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Ayodele, in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, alleged that several individuals surrounding the President did not genuinely wish him well and were waiting for an opportunity to work against his political interests.

The cleric made the remarks while reacting to the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, claiming that many of those present were not genuinely committed to Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He urged the President to distinguish between loyal allies and individuals he alleged were motivated by personal interests rather than a genuine desire for his success.

“Majority of the people at the inauguration don’t wish you well, Tinubu. They are just there for fun and to celebrate with bitterness.

“All that they have said is not real, and you need to identify your friends before the election. You must identify those who want you and those who don’t,” Ayodele said.

The prophet also cautioned Tinubu against celebrating the defection of politicians into the APC, arguing that some of the new entrants could become liabilities to his re-election campaign rather than strengthen the party.

“Even those defecting to the APC will be a burden on your re-election bid. Don’t celebrate it. It’s a means to cover your sight,” he claimed.

Ayodele further warned that some individuals around the President could attempt to prevent him from receiving honest advice by pushing away people who genuinely wanted him to succeed.

He alleged that some of those who might eventually turn against Tinubu were individuals the President had previously helped.

“Be mindful. People who surround you will not want you to see the truth, and they will drive good people away from you because of their selfish interests. These are the people you have helped, and they are going to betray you. It will be painful,” he said.

The cleric warned that Tinubu could discover the alleged disloyalty of some of his associates just two weeks before the election if he failed to take what he described as decisive steps early enough.

He also urged the President not to be distracted by public praise and celebrations, insisting that his campaign still had significant work to do, particularly in northern Nigeria.

“Two weeks to the election, if you don’t act and take a drastic step before it’s too late, major people you think are serious will betray you,” Ayodele said.

“Forget all these dances and praises; there is a lot to do in the North, and your campaign team is yet to capture the North. Take my words seriously and don’t let them fail you.”

The warning comes as political parties and their candidates intensify preparations for the 2027 general election. Ayodele’s statements remain allegations and predictions, and no evidence was provided in the statement to substantiate the claims of an impending betrayal.
