Uzodimma, Matawalle to lead supervision of APC Convention

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has been appointed as the Chairman of the technical committee on monitoring and supervision of the All Progressives Congress’ National Convention scheduled to hold on Saturday.

Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle, is expected to act as Co-Chairman.

Other members of the 35-strong committee include Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika.

Minister of Education Adamu Adamu is to act as secretary.

The technical committee is expected to “conduct the National Convention in accordance with the Party’s Constitution and the relevant National Laws,” according to a March 9 letter signed by then acting Chairman of the APC’s Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Abubakar Bello.

The committee members were appointed “in consideration of your track record, integrity and firm commitment towards the ideals and development of our great Party.”
