No Crisis in NDC, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso Have Full Confidence in Us — Dickson

National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has dismissed reports of internal divisions within the party, insisting that the platform remains united and continues to enjoy the confidence of key political figures across the country.

Dickson made the assertion on Wednesday during an appearance on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television, where he addressed concerns over alleged tensions within the party.

According to the former Bayelsa State governor, the NDC has maintained a strong relationship with prominent political leaders, including former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“There is no crisis in the NDC whatsoever,” Dickson said. “We have been able to enjoy the confidence of my colleagues, former governors like me, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“These are very distinguished Nigerian political leaders, and we brought the two of them to the platform. They came to our platform, and there are people with whom I have been working for some time. So, it is a recent development that we are now in this kind of convergence in the NDC.”

The NDC leader expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their support and confidence in the party, noting that the growing number of aspirants seeking to contest elections under its banner reflects the party’s increasing popularity and acceptance.

“A lot of Nigerians believe in us, and I want to begin by thanking Nigerians for their trust and confidence,” he stated.

“We have seen it in the number of people who have shown interest in contesting on our platform, which is part of what we are talking about. It is not a crisis.”

Dickson maintained that the surge in political interest within the party should be viewed as a sign of its growing influence rather than evidence of internal conflict.
