President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries to fill key vacancies in the federal civil service, a move aimed at addressing administrative gaps and ensuring balanced national representation.
The appointees include Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia), Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa), Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi), Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu), Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe), Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi), Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers), and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna).
This follows a rigorous selection process led by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, with candidates chosen based on their qualifications, experience, and potential to contribute to the effective governance of the country.
This is the second round of appointments under President Tinubu’s administration, with the first set made in June, which included officials from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, and parts of the Southeast and South-south.
President Tinubu has urged the new permanent secretaries to uphold high standards of professionalism, drive innovation, and contribute to the country’s development through diligent service.
