North Korea Condemns U.S. Over Trump’s Controversial Gaza Takeover Proposal

0

North Korea’s state media has sharply criticized the United States over former President Donald Trump’s proposal to redevelop the war-torn Gaza Strip by relocating its residents and taking control of the territory.

In a scathing statement published Wednesday, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) denounced the plan as a blatant violation of national sovereignty and an example of Washington’s “hegemonic and aggressive ambition for world domination.”

“The world is now seething with the U.S. ‘bomb declaration’,” KCNA said, without directly naming Trump. The outlet urged the U.S. to “awaken from its anachronistic daydream” and halt actions that encroach upon the “dignity and sovereignty” of other nations.

Trump’s remarks, made last week and reiterated despite mounting international condemnation, have drawn sharp criticism from global leaders. The United Nations has warned that any forced displacement of Gaza’s population could constitute ethnic cleansing.

KCNA also referenced Trump’s past suggestions to make Canada the 51st U.S. state and to acquire Greenland, reinforcing its argument that Washington treats the sovereignty of nations as a “bargaining chip or mockery.”

As the controversy escalates, international pressure is mounting on the U.S. to clarify its stance on Gaza’s future, while North Korea’s latest rebuke adds another layer to the global outcry.
