Nigeria records 163 more COVID-19 cases, discharges 24 patients

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday, October 11, 2020, Nigeria recorded 163 more COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

The new cases were recorded in 11 states with Lagos having the highest figure of 113 cases.

Other states were Kaduna with 21 cases, Osun – 8, Ondo and Oyo – 5 each, Ogun – 3, Bayelsa and Taraba – 2, Edo, Katsina, Plateau, Katsina and FCT each having 1 case.

With the new infections, Nigeria now has a total caseload of 60,266 and of that figure, 51,735 have recovered while 1,115 have, unfortunately, died.

However on the positive side, in the past 24 hours, 24 patients have recovered from the virus and have been discharged.

Lagos State has remained the epicentre of the virus with nearly 20,022 cases.
