Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday inaugurated seven commissioners, 12 special advisers, and six permanent secretaries as part of efforts to strengthen his administration and advance the state’s development agenda.
Among the commissioners sworn in are Shehu Wada Sagagi, a former Chief of Staff, who was appointed Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry; Dr. Ismail Danmaraya, Commissioner for Commerce; Dr. Gaddafi Shehu, Commissioner for Power and Sustainable Energy; Dr. Dahiru Hashim, Commissioner for Environment; Dr. Abdussalam, Commissioner for Rural Development; Abdullahi Waya, Commissioner for Information; and Dr. Nura Iro Maaji, Commissioner for Public Procurement.
During the ceremony, Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing critical sectors such as human development, road infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and education. He assured that these areas would witness significant government intervention in the coming months.
“These sectors will see heavy government presence as we are committed to building a greater Kano,” the governor stated.
He urged the appointees to execute their duties with integrity and a strong sense of responsibility, emphasizing the importance of the fear of God and dedication to the progress of Kano State.
The new appointments are expected to drive impactful governance and foster sustainable development across the state.
