The Doyen of Accounting, Pa Akintola Williams, is dead. He reportedly died at 9 am on Monday. He is the first Nigerian to qualify as a chartered accountant.
He was 104 years old at the time of his death.
Williams participated in the founding of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
