CJN announces Supreme Court vacancies, calls for expression of interest

There are vacancies at the Supreme Court of Nigeria for six slots waiting to be occupied.
This was announced by the expression of interest letter emanating from the office of the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
This has however attracted the attention of the Nigerian Bar Association which has communicated same to its members in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Rapulu Nduka.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, by a letter dated the 19th January 2022, called for the nomination of suitably qualified legal practitioners from South East, South South, South West, North Central and North West Geopolitical Zones of Nigeria, for appointment as Justices of the Supreme Court.
Attached below is the communication from the Judiciary Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, detailing the procedure for the expression of such interest.
