Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will continue to receive divine guidance and support in steering Nigeria’s affairs through 2031, assuring that the administration remains committed to addressing the country’s challenges and completing critical infrastructure projects.

Umahi made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection tour of ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State, including the Carter Bridge, which is scheduled for reconstruction beginning next week.

Speaking to journalists, the minister appealed to Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration, particularly in its efforts to tackle insecurity and other national challenges.

“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said.

He noted that no leader desires a turbulent tenure but stressed that responsible leadership requires confronting challenges whenever they arise.

“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he stated.

Umahi added that regardless of the factors behind the nation’s security challenges, he remained optimistic that President Tinubu would receive the wisdom and strength needed to overcome them and move the country forward.

The minister also expressed confidence that all projects initiated under the current administration would be completed successfully.

“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” Umahi said, while reiterating his belief that the government continues to enjoy divine favour.

On infrastructure development, Umahi disclosed that the reconstruction of Carter Bridge is expected to commence next week and be completed within three years.

“It is within our five-year plan,” he added.

The minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to delivering key infrastructure projects across the country as part of efforts to enhance economic growth and improve transportation networks.
