Differences Between Twitter and Threads

0

Though their user interfaces are similar, Twitter and Threads differ greatly. Threads has frequently been referred to as “Twitter’s Killer.”

Given that Threads has racked up over 30 million users in less than two days, it even appears to be the case.

1. Twitter has a 280-character limit, whereas Threads have a 500-character limit:

Users of Threads will have a 500-character limit, according to Meta. Unverified Twitter users, meanwhile, are limited to 280 characters.

An Instagram account that has been verified may also keep its blue badge on Threads. Twitter, on the other hand, charges $8 a month for such a feature.

The purchase will also enable customers to raise their 250 character cap.

Such a choice has not yet been offered by Meta.

2. Verification Tick (Free For Threads) vs. Paid For For Twitter:

Users must pay a fee of $8 per month to maintain their Twitter Blue tick verification to have a verification tick on their accounts.

On the other side, if a user’s handle is already verified on Instagram, they do not need to pay to get it verified again on Threads.

2. Threads Instagram’s sign-up requirements differ from Twitter’s, which calls for an email address:

Having an Instagram account is a requirement for Threads.

The app will provide users the choice to import followers and bio data from an existing Instagram profile when creating a new profile.

Because Instagram’s sizable user base will be made available to Threads, this will be advantageous.

An email Account is required to sign up for Twitter.

4. Post Durations: Twitter (two minutes and 20 seconds) vs. Threads (5 minutes):

Users (including those who are not verified) will be able to publish five-minute-long movies on Threads.

Only videos longer than two minutes and 20 seconds can be posted on Twitter by those without the coveted blue badge.

5. Trending Topics: Threads (Scroll Through Feeds) vs. Twitter (Shows Trends on Homepage):

The home page of Twitter enables users to view trending topics and other subjects that may be of interest to them.

The only method to browse Threads at the moment is to scroll through the home feed.

6. Threads (No Drafts Saving Option Yet) vs. Twitter (Drafts Saving Option): Save Drafts of Posts:

In contrast to Twitter, where this capability is currently available, as of Threads’ introduction on Wednesday, this option to save draft postings did not appear to be available.

7. Twitter Ads vs. No Ads On Threads:

Finally, Threads has gone ad-free. Bloomberg claims that this was done to generate as much interest in the product as possible.
