Pastor Defiles and Impregnates 15-year-old Girl

A pastor has been detained by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old girl in the Ndele community of the state’s Emohua Local Government Area.

Piler Erekwa, a 45-year-old preacher who goes by the name of Piler Erekwa, was detained as a result of a complaint made by the teen’s in-law, Amesi ThankGod.

The victim and her mother were members of the worship facility, Gracious Covenant Church, according to Mr. ThankGod, who spoke to reporters.

He claimed that up until they detected some odd conduct from her, the girl would frequently go to church to pass the time whenever her mother went to the farm.

“If her mother travels to the farm, the daughter typically visits the church to unwind before coming home later in the day. The girl then started throwing up recently. Her older sister, my wife, took her for a checkup. She is pregnant, the test results suggest,” he said.

According to ThankGod, the cleric allegedly threatened to kill the kid if she revealed the information.

However, he claimed that after the pregnancy was discovered, the girl’s older sister took her to Pastor Piler, who purportedly admitted that he was to blame.

According to ThankGod, the pastor begged the girl’s sister to let him end the pregnancy, but the family protested.

“The (pastor) suggested giving her some medications to end the pregnancy so the daughter would be free. However, if we permit that, the girl could die, in which case we would be at fault.

He claimed that once the incident was brought to the attention of a vigilante organization, the suspect was turned over to the Rumuji Police Division in Emuoha Emuoha and arrested.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police command’s spokeswoman, verified the occurrence.

Our team is aware of the event, yes. Investigation is still ongoing, but the suspect has been taken into custody,” she stated.
