According to reports, rival cult groups clashed in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, on Monday (today), sending locals running for cover. This tumultuous occurrence involves a well-known criminal organization called “Malian Boys.”

According to reports, the criminal gang is well known for frightening locals and stealing their goods, including cell phones. According to reports, cult groups in the state were responsible for the deaths of numerous people and the terrible injuries suffered by innocent bystanders.

Makama Zagazola, a counter-security analyst, claims that the most recent encounter took place on October 7, 2023, at around 12:15 p.m., when machete-wielding criminal gangs set fire to a store and destroyed property in Maiduguri’s Bolori 2, IVO, behind the Covid-19 Isolation Center.

Local neighbors were compelled to flee for safety as the shop owner, a hunter, reportedly escaped.

According to reports, the incident was intended as retaliation for a fight between the business owner and a criminal group member early on Monday morning. The shop owner is accused of fatally stabbing a criminal gang member during a fight.

In the most recent cult group altercation, there were several burned stores and injuries.

Residents of Maiduguri have been requesting forceful action from the security authorities against the organization due to the recent urban gangsterism committed by the criminal groups.
