Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to former President His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari GCFR at HOS Daura in Katsina State on Thursday, August 3, 2023.
The First Lady, who says the visit is to check on him and offer thanks, was accompanied by the Vice President’s wife, Hajia Nana Shettima, who says the visit is to check on the former president and thank him for the fatherly support he always provides.
She prayed for his long life, excellent health, and more support not only for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration but for Nigeria as a whole.
In his brief remarks following the meeting, the former president expressed gratitude, stressing that the visit, which was intended to assess how he is adjusting to life after public duty, was exceptional.
“As you can see, she came to check on me and make sure I was okay.”
Others in attendance included the wife of Katsina State Governor, Hajia Dikko Radda, and the wife of the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hajia Nasir Daura, as well as other APC women chieftains in the state.
