2027: Opposition Has No Ideology, Only Personal Ambitions — Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has criticized Nigeria’s opposition parties, accusing them of lacking clear ideology and being driven by personal political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Tuesday, the governor said the opposition had failed to present a credible alternative to the ruling party, describing its members as disorganized and focused solely on individual interests.

According to Sani, politicians in the opposition have spent the past three months moving from one political party to another in search of platforms, rather than building strong institutions or offering Nigerians a clear vision for governance.

“The current opposition in Nigeria, are they really fighting the ruling party because they believe in Nigeria? It’s all about their personal interests. These guys are not serious. They are not political parties built on what they believe in or what they can do,” he said.

The governor also challenged opposition leaders to substantiate their claims that the ruling party was working against them.

“I don’t think they are organised. You need to ask them to show you the evidence that the ruling party is fighting them because that’s what they keep saying.

“What’s their agenda, ideology or philosophy? If you are in a political party, you have to sit down, build, organize and do whatever is necessary to strengthen the party. You can’t be jumping from one party to another,” Sani added.
