The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026.
The party disclosed this in an official notice shared on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, stating that the meeting is scheduled to commence at 2:00 p.m.
According to the notice, the decision to convene the NEC meeting followed a resolution endorsed by two-thirds of NEC members, in line with the provisions of Section 31 of the party’s constitution.
The PDP clarified that attendance at the meeting will be strictly limited to statutory members of the NEC. Those expected to be present include PDP state governors, members of the National Assembly within the party’s caucus, members of the Board of Trustees (BoT), state chairmen, national ex-officio members, former members of the National Working Committee (NWC), former governors, as well as principal officers of the National Assembly and other designated stakeholders.
Reaffirming its commitment to party cohesion, the PDP emphasized that the NEC remains focused on strengthening internal stability, promoting unity, and ensuring adherence to the principles of internal democracy and discipline.
The party added that the meeting forms part of its broader efforts to consolidate its structures and position itself effectively ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a continued focus on advancing the welfare of Nigerians.
