
The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation status to six additional undergraduate programmes at Sule Lamido University, bringing the institution’s entire academic offerings to fully accredited status.
The approval was conveyed in a letter dated April 4, 2026, and signed by the Commission’s Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the university’s Head of Public Relations, Sadiq Lawal, the newly accredited programmes include B.Sc. Agriculture with specialisations in Crop Science, Soil and Land Management, Animal Science, and Agricultural Economics and Extension under the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management.
Also granted full accreditation are B.Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Information Technology, and B.Sc. Software Engineering in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology.
Additionally, B.A. (Ed.) History in the Faculty of Education and B.Sc. Political Science in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences received full accreditation.
Commenting on the development, the university’s Director of Academic Planning, Abdullahi Haruna Birniwa, stated that the latest approvals mean all 36 academic programmes currently offered by the institution now have full accreditation, marking a significant milestone in the university’s academic growth and quality assurance efforts.
